Major Events: Three weeks after Kirby left for College his dad Bill Puckett suffered and died of a heart attack. He was drafted by the MInnesota Twins in 1982 as third overall draft pick. He won two World Series with the Twins in 1987 and 1991, and in game 6 of the 1991 World Series he was remembered for when he caught the game winning catch and hit game winning walk-off homerun to force game 7. He was in 10 consecutive All Star games and was named game MVP in 1993. Lastly he was inducted to MLB Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001.
